Overall, the program objectives are good. Sustainability of fellowship effects is crucial. It is important for the research / training conducted by the CV Raman Fellow to be developed and sustained. FICCI should consider ways to meet with beneficiaries of the Fellowship for getting feedback on the knowledge and skills gained by them and help them in developing research concepts / ideas into full project proposals. DST/FICCI should facilitate further collaboration / contact between respective fellow-host institute/scientist and invite other funding agencies if the need for developing full research project proposal arises.
People in Africa have good ideas however they need more research facilities to help them continue their research projects. CV Raman international fellowship program for African researchers helps people in Africa to conduct research in Indian research laboratories/institutes and offers good conditions and suitable environment for scientific research. This program helps to exchange experiences between different researchers from different countries. It also helps to make good relations and communication between different nations. I am pleased to participate in this program. Thanks to DST and FICCI for this program.
C V Raman International Fellowship Program for African Researchers is a great way to learn from the rich experiences of Indian scientists and researchers. They have the right equipments and tools that help the research activity and more importantly, their attitude to give back to others. African researchers can immensely benefit from this program. Thanks so much for Indian people and Indian government.
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to DST and FICCI for awarding me this fellowship to undertake a research work in India. India and Ethiopia have a long standing relationship and a lot of similarities in terms of societies, agriculture, education, among others. India is playing a major role in development endeavors of Ethiopia. The C V Raman Fellowship program for African researchers will have an immense contribution in bringing together the scientific communities of India and Africa to find out common gaps and solve problems through research. There are a lot of experiences in research and education in India that can be directly adopted and utilized by Africans to help them come out of their problems. Hence, it creates opportunity for African researchers to develop their research capacities in identifying research priorities in their respective countries. Moreover, this program will help to maintain and consolidate the relationship and cooperation of India with Africa in all respects.
The C V Raman International Fellowship for African Researchers is indeed an appropriate platform for engagement of African researchers in conducting cutting edge research. My exposure at CSRI-CMERI in Durgapur has been a life changing experience. Research expertise of the scientists is supported by advanced R&D labs for demonstration work. The quality of research is second to none and the Institute is committed to consistently developing facilities. I am looking forward to moving into a brighter career in manufacturing technologies within the research community, by learning from India's researchers.
I have been exposed to modern methodologies especially in the area of cell tissue culture. I was able to carry out experiments for which there are no facilities in my country. I believe this will go a long way in making me a better researcher and teacher. It will also open up collaboration between researchers from my institution and researchers from India. I have also been able to come in contact with other researchers apart from my host with whom we can work together in future. Apart from research, I have also been exposed to Indian culture, food and lifestyle. Namaste.
